BMW E34 5HP18, Trying a clean out and new filter

Just for entertainment on my holidays, I am trying to breath some life into this transmission before the car is sent to the crusher.

I totally tore down the valve body and cleaned all the sludge out of it, it was blocked in many places including heavily restricted shift solenoids. The shift pressure solenoid was also 100% blocked which explains the violent jerk when shifting to D.

Its all reassembled and fitted with a new filter. I will fill and test when I have more time available in January 2016.
